I'm still feeling overwhelmed by all of the family emergencies.

My mother is finally able to drive now. She had hip replacement surgey in April. She has graduated from her home physical therapy, but still needs assistance when she shops. I will always be there for her.

My mother-in-law is doing better after her shoulder replacement surgery in April. She is not able to hold a glass of water in her right hand, but she is doing very well in her home physical therapy. I know that I need to pay her a visit.

My youngest daughter is in a third tier study for an investigational medication for her seizures. Please pray that this investigational study goes well. Her boyfriend has been assisting with her seizure diary. He has been seizure free for seven years and understands her illness. Praise God for that.

My husbands biopsy came back negative. Praise God again. He is still sick and has a bad colon. We are hoping that his doctor will be able to help him with diet and medication. He is also depressed, but hopes to go back to work this week.

I have adjusted to having only one income. I have only managed to get 2 & 1/2 hours of overtime, but will try to get more.

Sometimes I feel overwhelmed.

Please keep us all in your prayers.

I think you have good reason to feel overwhelmed with all of this coming at you. Look to the blessings and try to ignore the rest. God is good.

Linda when medical troubles strike one after the other it is very easy to feel overwhelmed - I know myself that sometimes I feel as though I just can not read another email or take another phone call bearing more bad news. After hearing about yet another bad news I can not sleep, I get so upset that I am up running to the bathroom all night - I feel cold regardless of the ambient temperature and often get up and warm up a hottie and if it really is cold I warm up 2 just to restore my body heat - I get pains in my stomach almost like sympathy pains so God Bless you - I for one understand EXACTLY how you feel - oh forgot I also am extremely emotional during this flux.

Prayes for all good things for you and your family.

In life and death we belong to God. Through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Sprit, we trust in the one triune God, the Holy One of Israel, whom alone we worship and serve....

My husband is going to process his retirement papers. He will have medical insurance with retirement, but I will have to switch to my employers more expensive coverage. We are beginning the paperwork for that now.

At least when he retires, there will be steady (but very small) income.

I have had a tough time dealing with only one paycheck.

I'm tempted to buy one of those t-shirts that says:
"Retirement! Twice as much man, Half as much money!"
or maybe I will embroider that on something!

Since he is still very young, he will get another job when he feels better. This would boost our income above where it was before the illness.

I do have hope, but I'm a little worried right now about the immediate financial hardships.

My Dear Husband retired. We feel like we are in limbo.
The first check will not come until the end of this month.
I have not been able to get overtime at my job.
I changed some of our credit union accounts to handle some of the changes.
I spent two hours on the phone, getting phone plan, internet service and satellite TV reduced in price. That was the most efficient time I have ever spent on the phone. Our monthly bills were greatley reduced.
I created an excell file to keep up with bills. I had to dig into savings last month, but it looks like we will stay current on everything now.
