I wonder myself how she is and would love to know if she has recovered from the huge setbacks in her health since her car , well enough to sew and create like she did so beautifully years ago. I have her book and some of her shadow embroidery leaflets. She was one of my favorite designers. I pray she is doing well.

I now have two of Wendy's design leaflets left in stock. The others are gone. Both copies are "Ring Around the Rosey". If anyone is interested, just let me know.

Try contacting "Sew Unique" in Conowingo, MD. They advertise in Sew Beautiful, Creative Needle. Phone is 410-838-2633
Web address http://sewuniquewithpfaff.com/index.cfm?cp=table3
I found her book for $17. There were 2 and I took one about 4 months ago. Maybe by chance they may still have the other one in stock.

God's Blessings to all!

If her books and patterns are no longer in print, then is it OK to copy them to share with others? I wouldn't want to infringe on someone's income or copywrite, but if these patterns aren't being printed anymore, then maybe it is OK for us to share with each other? Just wondering if anyone knows.

EE, No it is not OK. Copyrights are still in effect even though newcomers can't get them. Sorry.

Hi Wendy,

This was our first year and it was a huge success. The retreat is held in Delray Beach. We are in the planning stages for 2007. We will send info to SAGA news and can send brochures when they are ready. This year we hosted Mirella Arrroyo and Beverley Sheldrick.

Wendy had communicated with me several years ago. Probably many now. She was living in Florida and her husband, Stewart, was a fireman dealing with the terrible fires in the state. Wendy was an extremely talented professional musician as well as needle arts person. Her daughter, Ashley was 15 at the time with a b'day close to mine in January. I contacted Martha but Martha hadn't heard either. I pray our DEAR WENDY is healthy. Please, just haunt the shops to find what might be out there. Keep Wendy in your hearts and prayers.

I just made copies of several of Wendy's designs from old Sew Beautifuls. I will use them for Christmas bibs and also dress with Noah's ark design. These are the best shadow embroidery designs I have ever seen. How I wish that I could see her book.

Bringing this to the top, because in the latest SB Catalog, Wendy Ragan Stewart is listed for a school at the July 2007 lace camp. I am so excited, so her health must better. I wonder if anyone at SB can give us any more information about her. I have missed her post so much!

I have recently received another shop's pattern inventory and have several of Wendy's patterns and design leaflets in stock. I have been compiling a list of all the OOP patterns. If you're interested in see what's available, please e-mail me. Due to popularity, a lot will be going quickly.

Is this the same woman who wrote a detailed book about using Pfaff's 4872 serger/cover stitch machine? I've searched for that book with no luck at all for the longest time
