 Hand embroidery kits

Hi, I usually post to machine embroidery; but was referred over here...My sister is looking for a fairly nice baby blanket embroidery kit (not cross stitch) for a neice who is expecting...the only one that she found that she thought was really nice was over $150.00 and was from the UK...Would appreciate any links or ideas...Thanks

Perhaps AS&E has something. I would check Countrybumpkin.au in google. If you find it there it will probably a similar price, but remember the exchange rate. Perhaps your kit from the UK was in British pounds?

Ditto what Bunny has mentioned about countrybumpkin.com.au. look through their inspirations issues, they have had some wonderful baby blankets w/ gorgeous embroidery and some appliques.

The most recent issue of Sew Beautiful has an embroidered wool baby blanket in it. I was contracted me to make up the kits for the project, so I have them, too, right here ready to ship immediately. Check out the blanket in the magazine and let me know if you are interested.

Thanks for the info Jan but I'm afraid the import tax and VAT here makes it much too expensive for me to buy. It double the (very reasonable) pricce you offer the kit for. Sorry :(

I totally understand. The shipping alone to the UK would be very pricey since it is not small is size or weight.
