 Crochet edgings how to book.
Author: Samantha Caffee

Hey, I'm new here even though I have been reading Sew Beautiful for years! I have recently finished a book on how to do crochet edgings to fabric. I would love for you gals to give it a look and tell me what you think.
It has been hard finding experienced eyes! I have some photos from the book and a description here.

Is the price right? Do you think this would sell? Where would you sell it if it were you? Do I need to add or take away anything from the description? I am working on getting a pic of the book cover.

Hi Samantha, You might want to post on Children's Construction even Machine Embroidery, to get more feedback, they are busier. Looks good to me.

Your book looks real good to me. I know just a little about crochet but would love to try doing something like that. You had several statements that sound great to me, for ex., what is best yarn to use, etc. I need something like that. Beginners don't always know the best tool or yarn or even what is available.

And the price doesn't seem too bad either. And I love the fact it can be downloaded. So this is my opinion.....so there.

Samantha, I bought your book by email when you first mentioned it on these forums. Two nights ago I decided to try to crochet an edging. Since I had never learn to crochet, I looked at a "learn to crochet" book and also the web site you referred us to. Well..............I crocheted the first edging in your book and managed to finish it. But I made a chain stitch, then followed your instructions. I didn't fasten it to fabric as you said because I needed to practice the stitch first. But after finishing, I sewed the chain part on the edge of a new dishtowel and it looks good. I am delighted with it. And the little parts that stick out look good.

Next I'm going to crochet this same edging to add to the hem of a little dress. Plus I'll try to crochet directly on fabric with that zig zag. I'm glad I purchased this book. The pictures are not as clear as I would like but it might be my printer.

Thanks.

Janet

I bought the hardcopy thru the mail - the book is delightful and was very helpful. I haven't done any crocheting in 30+ years but did the leaf edge on a pair of pillowcases! Very cute patterns, too.
