 Marfy Patterns

Has anyone tried these yet? I'm trying to determine why I'd pay a premium price for a pattern that doesn't have any illustrations or instructions (per the disclaimer on the Vogue web site). The styles are very nice, but how hard are they to figure out?

I have the same question - they must expect that only experienced seamstresses will try these. We might be able to figure them out, but I think they are shooting themselves in the foot by not including some instructions - there are so many ways to do things, it would help to know what the designers have in mind.

I'm with y'all. I am an experienced seamstress, but I would never attempt 90% of those patterns w/o instructions -- I'd spend 3x as much time drafting in seam allowance, etc. and 3x as much time trying to figure out how to put the darn things together!

Besides all that, I think that paying for patterns w/o seam allowances, hem allowances or instructions is a waste of my money AND my time. Their styles are no snazzier than you can find elsewhere WITH the features they are missing...

I really think these patterns are not designed for the home sewer, and they are offering them to us, anyway. Shame on them.

Regards,
The Fairy Godmother
