 Hem Length for Bridesmaid's Dress?
Author: Norma K.

I'm in the throes of hemming Dd's dress. All the females will be wearing decorated flip-flops for this California garden wedding. The dress, however, is a formal one. It has been suggested that the hem fall 2" off the ground. Any opinions?

Norma,

If this is a garden wedding, 2" off the ground may still drag in the grass. But if they are all 2" off the ground as a group it will look better for the pictures. I was in a garden wedding years ago and we had floor length dresses. They all looked bunchy in the pictures. It was interesting too to get around in the grass that had not been mowed in 2 weeks. We looked like we were playing in a field.

Hope that your DD has a great time.

Friends, Linda
