My daughter resented me with the neatest Christmas gift. A Usborne coloring book - Clothes and Fashion to Color. The book covers and overview of fashion from Medieval times to the 1960s with tidbits of info. Printed on heavy stock with beautiful illustrations, I look forward to 'playing'!! They have an accompanying webpage with links to fashion history all over the world. Cool stuff!

Sounds like fun! The coloring books for adults have become quite popular. My sons dgf is a wonderful artist who is very fond of the Derwent brand of colored pencils...especially the metallic ones. A quick Amazon search will locate sources if you are interested

I have some color pencils ... I also have a large selection of pastel pencils as that was the medium that I worked with most when I belonged to the art studio in town. Derwent are nice, I have a few and have interest in checking out their watercolor pencils as the stock in this coloring book is heavy enough to handle that medium - not full on watercolor, but lightly brushing a damp brush over the colors have interesting results. I'd also like to try Prismacolor - I dabbled with it very briefly at the art studio. I really need to make time and clear some space in the sewing room to draw and paint again.

Lynn, you are a wonderful artist. I'm sure once you start coloring in your new coloring book it may be what you need to kick start inspiration to get you back to doing your art work. Please post a page from your coloring book so we can see what you have done.
