I finally got around to ordering from the Etsy site and find that she has limited kits for sale but bought the one that has this jacket. The kit arrived yesterday and is much nicer than I expected, thank you so much for posting your project. I hope mine turns out half as pretty as yours did. Did you make many changes to the pattern or outfit during construction? I see you used hooks and eyes instead of Velcro, anything else?

Oh WOW! This is so pretty and it looks so authentic! Somehow you've managed to make
this to look like finely made adult clothing. Perfectly perfect : ).

Thanks so much!!

Carol, I followed the directions except for the hooks and eyes. The directions were pretty straight forward. Our DD gave me a pattern kit for the fancy outfit with the stomacher--and I found a pattern for the everyday dress with the pinner apron at a store in Colonial Williamsburg. Now I just need to find some spare time to make them!! LOL

LOL, Carol!! Here is a guide from Colonial Williamsburg on the names of things:

https://www.history.org/history/clothing/women/wglossary.cfm

Basically, a stomacher is a triangular piece of cloth that attaches to the bodice pieces of colonial dresses--sometimes it has fancy details.

This website has a free pattern for the above dress with a stomacher (download Felicity's patterns):

Thank you Karen, I downloaded those patterns long ago at your suggestion, and am now getting ready to sew doll clothes including some of these I hope. I should have read the descriptions, they are cute and interesting. For some reason I'm excited to make the vintage doll garments instead of the contemporary clothes.
