Happy New Year everyone,
I have an interesting problem. I have a presser foot I am not sure of.
It is metal and has a round needle hole. It has a metal guide on the right side with no space between guide and foot.
and finally it has one mark near the shank attachment with only 2 other line marks.
trying to identify and store my presser foot but can't identify it

Interesting...the only foot I have for my Diamond that has a round needle hole is the 1/4 inch foot.

Are you sure it's for the Viking? Is there a number on the foot? Can you post a photo?

I don't have a Diamond but it sounds like a 1/4 inch foot to me too. Measure from the left side of the guide to the needle hole to see if it's a 1/4 inch. The line marks usually mark a measurement for pivoting when straight stitching. Maybe that's the case with this foot too.

Thank you, Lynn. I don't have a Diamond (nor any aspirations in that direction), but the Designer 1 and Designer SE LE. The web page whose link you gave us is a nice addition to my accessories manual.

Could this be a straight stitch or top stitching foot? If there is just one little hole in
the foot, and not the usual space provided in other feet (so the needle can move around
like for zig sagging, etc.)....then it's meant to keep the fabric stable as possible so we
can do pretty top stitching.
