Thank you for your kind compliment, Shirley! The dress is pale lavender cotton batiste and the slip is a medium lavender cotton broadcloth. After many days of interruption having to paint a house we're selling, I finally finished the slip. So other than needing ironing after being washed and dried, the outfit is ready for my DGD . Here's the dress with the slip underneath. You can see that the slip adds an extra boost of lavender color to the dress:
I think I "scooped" out the neckline and armscyes a bit too much in "re-drafting" of the pattern, but I was so afraid it wouldn't fit, especially under the arms. But it is simple and could be worn as a summer frock (although perhaps it might be too sheer?).
And Linda--You might recognize the lace edging around the slip hem . Thank you, again, for the generous gift of lace you sent to me last year!!
Now, I hope to be seeing what everyone else is/has made!!
