This little dress, size 8, is Children's Corner's Lillian :) I made it for my friend Kim's daughter, Emma. The monogram is from Etsy (sorry, don't remember the name or shop) and the rickrack is stitched on by hand with French knots. I had the cute little Eiffel Tower Label shown on the inside of the dress in my stash, bought a while ago on Etsy. I was looking for a size label and voila! the perfect fun little label to add to the inside of the dress. No pockets because of the rickrack.
I used my fabric print matching method (shown in Sew Beautiful magazine…2009 I think it was) on the buttoned back, but the fabric was beyond challenging to match. It was like the print repeat was sort of a fluid thing… I could match at the centre back, but then over a few inches on the width and it would be off. So it's the best one could do with this particular fabric. Buttons are coconut shell.
I had a cute handmade hang tag I bought, and added a second one I printed and cut on my Cameo. And, again from my stash, a very cute scooter shaped paperclip! There are little grosgrain bows, chocolate with white along the edges that looks like hand stitching, at the top of the side slits.
