My mother is 96, and I think she is close to giving up the fight. Please pray that this process will be peaceful and relatively easy for her. Thank you.

Father God, help Chris' Mother during this this time. Comfort and guide Chris as well. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

You're both in my prayers, glad you've had a nice, long time with her here on Earth.

The time has been long, but I can't say that it has been good. I always worried that when it came right down to it I just wouldn't care, but I do. I guess life is strange that way. I can't really relate to losing a mother, but I can relate to a very old, frightened lady who needs love.

Praying for you both, my friend! God knows all that is needed, and He will supply it. And He has made you a very loving person.

I cant imagine having one's parent for over 90 years - I have 2 school chums - one from grade 5 - her mother must be 100 now and the other chum her mother is well into her 90s because she was a year older than me and she had an older sister... sadly her mom has dementia - the grade school friend never mentioned any infirmities or mental challenges with her mother - her sister is real estate agent in Ontario and Mom lives in Ontario too...
I am so very sorry Chris that you are dealing with this - no matter it is always difficult.
Imagine in the biblical times people had children at 80 and lived to 140 or more years... with no health care and we with all kinds of medical research cant cure dementia cant grow new heart can cure cancer cant prevent stroke just to name a few

Always difficult no matter the age or the other circumstances. Sorry you don't have happier times to reflect on. When my mother passed the sense of loss was overshadowed at the sadness of what might have been, but wasn't, and never would be. I'll be thinking about you as you go through this next little while.

I'm so sorry--and I'm praying for all of you, too.
