Back in 2013 or early 2014 I made a vintage baby romper with ruffles on the bum. It is called "Isabel" in my records but I neglected to include information on where the pattern came from. Does this ring a bell for anyone? I need to make another one.

I have looked at the Sew Beautiful photos on pinterest and don't see it - also looked at the index for AS&E and didn't see it there either. I don't think this is a Children's Corner pattern - but where did I get it?

You can see a photo of it here:

https://www.etsy.com/listing/105616665/baby-sewing-pattern-for-romper-sunsuit Is this it? I've had this pattern on my wishlist forever but haven't bought it yet. Did you like the pattern instructions, quality, etc? Your outfit turned out so cute, it makes me want to make one too.

Thanks, Carol...that is definitely the pattern - but I cannot find it if I downloaded it! What do you suppose I did with it? I generally keep the original download in my patterns file and print it out as well. Now I can find nothing - it is a puzzlement!

Anyway, my memory of the pattern is that it was fine - I did add trim at the top of each ruffle which I'm not sure was in the pattern specifics. You can see the back of the romper at my photobucket account. The front of this romper is fully lined.

Hooray!!!! I found it - and yes, I purchased it from that etsy site. Whew! Thought I'd lost my marbles - or pattern as the case may be! LOL

Need to report on excellent customer service. Dixi who owns that site at Etsy offered to re-send the pattern if I couldn't find it. I love sites that do that!

Go ahead and purchase the pattern, Carol...you won't be disappointed.

I've been crocheting hats with leftover yarn and couldn't find a pattern I bought from an Etsy dealer 4 years ago. Where on earth did I put it on my computer? Anyway, I followed your lead and contacted the seller and she agreed to send me the PDF again. Another example of a first class seller. I never would have done it if you hadn't posted about your experience so thank you for that.

We called them sunsuits back in the day too. I think babies and toddlers look so cute in that style of outfit.

Love it! Green is my favorite color. Did you serge the ruffle edges?

Thanks, Carol...yes, I serged the ruffle edges with a rolled edge. This time I didn't even use the ribbon overlays on top of the ruffles - I just used a single row of gathering thread then stitched the ruffle to the bottom right over that stitch. Using a perfect match thread did the trick!
