I will probably give this one to Sarah and Marco for their anniversary in March. The lace and tulle (card is covered in tulle, though it may be hard to see) are leftovers from her ring pillow and veil.

This one is for a friend who just lost her little doggie, only eight.

No plans for the next three...just for the stash.

There are a few more in my album...but these are my favourites.

So, so pretty!! The one for Sarah and Marco will mean so much...not only because you created it, but you incorporated the lace and tulle from their wedding into it! That's simply charming and special!!

Thanks girls! I’ve never taken a live class, but oodles of online classes, some free, and some I paid for. Scrapbook.com has quite a few free classes. Paper Wishes has free webinars...those spring to mind, though I’ve watched lots more, including the manufacturers for my machines and some other products. All classes, though perhaps the free ones a bit more, are focusing on the products they sell. I wouldn’t describe most as a hard sell, but you do end up seeing nifty products you want to buy!

Altenew, who make simply wonderful stamps and inks, other products too...great dies, both coordinating and stand alone, and Craftsy are the only classes I’ve paid for, and I’ve always gotten a sale. I think Altenew has a free class or two as well...and they have the best customer service ever!

I’ve also learned from YouTube and even just by looking at pictures of cards online. Unlike sewing, you can often make it just based on what you see...not always of course. For the more complicated ones you need instructions.

If you are shopping for supplies, look at Etsy, eBay and Amazon, and of course all the scrapbooking sites for sales.

One thing I wish I’d known at the outset: all clear stamps are not created equal. The good ones are photopolymer. Cheaper ones are acrylic or silicone. The photopolymer ones hold the ink and stamp so much better! There is a nifty tool called a MISTI. Tim Holtz has a similar one now too. It holds the stamp and helps position the stamp exactly where you want it, and allows you to re-stamp in exactly the same position if need be, especially useful if you’re stuck with one of the cheaper stamps. Also very useful for layering stamps. The images end up looking like you hand coloured them. I posted a few before...one I really like is the Altenew cardinal set, though I did it in blues, so I made a Blue Jay!

A lot of fun, rather addictive, just like sewing...and you can end up with a lot of stuff!

You've put a lot of effort in learning to make cards and your efforts have resulted in these gorgeous cards! I think of them as keepsakes, not just cards. I love seeing them and hope you keep posting them!
