It’s -13, feels like -20 C...which is 9, feels like -4 F. Cold in any language! And it got cold fast, which I find so much more difficult...and harder every year. Several inches of snow on the ground and a lot more in the forecast for Saturday. It’s supposed to get much colder before Saturday...the bright side is that it is usually milder when it snows... I would hardly be noticing it if my new room was nearing completion and I was busy and warm in there...it will have heated floors!

How’s the weather in your little corner of the world?

I think we must be up to 9" of snow - or more, my car is completely covered since last night. Very cold here with the wind chill, only a couple of degrees higher in upstate NY than where you are.

I canceled my PT appointment for today, and have spent the day in my sewing/computer room!

We in the Wasatch Front of Utah suffer inversions, and this year it is early. There is a High blocking any storms from reaching us. No snow, just cold with blue skies. EXCEPT the cold air is trapped in the valleys, causing smog. UGH! Of course the ski resorts have no snow, and they are in sunshine - above the smog. The storms rotate up around into Canada, then down thru the Midwest and on eastward. Hate it!

It is 25 degrees here, south of Boston. Wind advisory in effect makes it seem like 13 degrees. We had 3 inches of snow on Saturday, but due to rain yesterday the snow is gone, but the weatherman is thinking of sending 1-3 "of snow for the "early morning commute" and more" possibly for Saturday. Good news is I think I've completed my Christmas shopping!

Farther upstate NY than Lynn so very cold, but not as far as Buffalo so not much snow. Couldn't believe the Bills and Colts? were playing in that snow last Sun.

Pat...where are you in Upstate NY? My son & family live in Westfield. Of course, we are there often as the children are 5 & 7.

In N Texas we are above normal temps... today. About 70F today. Much cooler yesterday, but VERY dry. Grass fires in the area today. Burn bans in effect. (And I'm getting a fire pit for Christmas. Hope I get to use it some this winter.)

I'm in So California so all you freezing people don't even want to know what the temp is here. Hint: pick a number between 79 and 81. No gloating here, I'm so ready for winter weather and have been for a couple of months.

Yum, 80 degrees...long underwear, windburned face, chapped hands...toes still cold and I’ve been home for two hours! But the hot dry weather and fire danger...well, no one would envy you those! I had hoped to take a vacation this winter and get a break from the weather. But...my first plan...to take the boys on a Disney cruise...Rebecca won’t let me take the boys without them...and that doesn’t seem to be doable...my sister is coming up to visit her father-in-law...Sarah and Marco turned down my idea of driving south with the doggies...Marco has no more vacation time, and Sarah doesn’t think Gnocchi would travel well...and the one friend I thought might go with me isn’t enjoying good health. Dh doesn’t really take vacations... it would have made the wait for spring and getting started on my new room more bearable...curses, foiled again!

I live on the So. Cal. coast and and I'm tired of the wind and heat and the fires that are happening too. Winter in Michigan was always my favorite season, but I know a lot of people can't stand the cold, especially as one gets older. At least I can see snow on the mountain tops...if it ever starts snowing there and raining here! The one thing about winter is that it is a good excuse to stay indoors and sew!
