Very nice designs. I wish there were a similar set of dogs.

I think this is wonderful. May have to break down and buy this. Despite the three cats making me crazy with some of their habits, I am very attached and have been thinking about stitching something as a nod to them. Not sure I'd be willing to let go either.

I love that, Karen. The design is delightful and you did a great job. It looks so nice on the dark blue. That towel will be treasured.

Oh yea! That's a wonderful stitchout! Both realistic and fanciful all at the same time.

This thread is kind of about cats, so here is something about a cat: my new little friend, a kitty I'm calling Misti. Some rotten-to-the-core person dropped her off the other night, in the dark cold and snow. We heard her crying when feeding the horses the next morning. I couldn't find her until that evening. She was always in a tiny space I couldn't reach. A tall athletic grandson finally reached her. The younger grkids adore her. She is light grey, long haired, 3 mos. old and terribly thin. She was recently spayed, and has a cropped ear. Feral cat programs do that. How can people be so cruel, especially at Christmas?

Awwww. A Christmas kitty!!! That’s how my sister got little Gus—he was crying at their door, way out in the Northern boonies of Minnesota!!

Anyone who would abandon a helpless animal or mistreat them in any way deserves a special place in hell!!! Thank goodness for decent, loving folks like you, Neva and Karen's sister. I know your little Misti had a guardian angel when she came to you. I must admit that I prefer the company of cats to many people.

I was a teacher and people were always dropping off fur babies on the grounds. The last school I taught at was a "dog" school. So, when a stray dog showed up we'd catch it. Most times the kids new where the dog lived. So, I'd take a kid to show me where and we'd walk the dog home. Taking a kid off school grounds is not allowed, but we did anyway in these situations. It was a way to teach the kids how to better care for their pets.

We had a rottie show up on the playground. None of the kids knew the dog. I went out and got the dog. He had a collar with a phone number on it. We stashed the dog in the custodian's office...where we hid dogs to keep them from the dog catcher...and I left a message at that number. The custodian was determined that if we didn't find the owner, he was going to take it home to keep...which members of the staff would do. Thankfully, the owner showed up and we discussed making their yard safer for the dog.
