This is the first design I've ever stitched out from Anne--and I love her digitizing!! This is for our DGD's 10th birthday to hold a special necklace.

This is so beautiful!!! May I ask how you made it? As you know I'm not a machine
embroiderer and can't tell how much of this was done in the hoop. But golly sakes,
your grand daughter is going to love the little pocket as much as she loves the
necklace. I know I would. Thanks for sharing...I needed some pretty stitching
to look at today : ).

So beautiful! I've admired these designs for so long, do you think the pocket is big enough to hold a gift card?

Thank you!! Here is the link to the design (From the Needle of Anne): http://www.fromtheneedleofanne.com/KeepSakesMK2.html

Linda--the whole thing is done in the hoop--Anne has wonderful instructions included to guide you step by step (when to place fabric and when to place the front and back pieces together). The only things I did by had were sewing on the pearl button and threading the ribbon! It took about 30 minutes to stitch out--then wash out the wss and dry overnight. I stuffed some Saran wrap in the pocket while it was drying so it would have a "pouch" for the necklace.

Carol--it's small, so not big enough for a gift card. The pouch is only 3" wide by 2 1/2" tall.

Thanks for sharing your experience with this, Karen! I've often wondered what these little "pockets" looked like stitched out. Anne has such beautiful designs!

What a fabulous memory keeper! I've been thinking about trying that design out, but was a little intimidated by it. Thaks for all the details you shared! I have a lot of her designs and they never disappoint.
