Glad it's going quickly, the design fits in so nicely with the rest of the house and I love your bay windows.

Don't you love it? Congrats on sticking it out to get your permits etc. & for a good contractor to make your dream come true!!
Enjoy the process as you approach the finished space. In the meanwhile- get a good pair of earmuffs to keep the hammering out of your head.
May you enjoy your new studio for many years.

So wonderful. We are all excited waiting to see what it will be like when you are done as I know you are. My friend some years ago in a different house had a craft room put over the large garage that came in with a breeze way. Not as great as having it as part of the house but still awesome. She had a craft room in the new house but I am sure she missed the somewhat hidden huge craft area. I always thought should I ever have to relocate I would get a basement or upstairs for my clutter but now as I age would definitely need a stair lift if going up or down a lot as my knees feel the burn when I visit my daughters' homes just from going a couple of times up and down. I do look at those basements and upstairs spaces as secret places when sewing disasters are happening.

Hey, it is looking great!! I know you are counting the days when everything will be organized again!!
Don't you love bay windows?? I have two in this house but I would change a few things on how they were installed. I'm sure we would all
go back and change a few things again. Wished I had raised my roof a pinch more and I could have had a sewing room upstairs. Even though my basement has heat and air
in part of it I would not put my machines in basement.
What time do you have for them to be finished??

This is so exciting! Love your nice big window! I'm sure you can hardly wait to move in...what is the
projected date for being finished?

Your home is so beautiful--and the new additions will be wonderful!!! Will you add a swing to the front porch?

Thanks everyone. We don’t have a firm completion date...just two to three months, plus the time for the cabinet maker...plus window replacement, and front hall redo. We have a porch swing on our back porch...not sure what furniture we will get for the front. The current openings are larger than the windows so they can easily bring materials in, etc. We started on April 23rd, but at that time the garage contents storage container was still frozen into the driveway, delaying material delivery and slowing us down the equivalent of two to three days.

Lillian, I have been reading that Brother and BabyLock are coming out with another top of line machine in the fall. You're new sewing room would love
another new machine!! These things are getting so expensive nobody will be able to afford one. Haven't sewed on my new Pfaff Icon. Somedays I wonder why I bought it!!
I have wonderful intentions to get busy but I have to order or drive several hours to get any supplies!!
