I stumbled upon this book by accident at our library--and it interested me because my DH and I toured the Mutter Museum in Philadelphia a few years ago! What an interesting place--so the title caught my eye. I wasn't expecting to enjoy this book so much--but the author made Dr. Mutter "come alive" and make me feel like I knew him personally. He certainly was a medical trailblazer with an amazing bedside manner!

Thanks for the recommendation, I've never heard of Dr. Mutter but the book sounds very interesting. I'm so thankful for these reviews, I just finished Lilac Girls which was recommended awhile ago and really enjoyed that one.
