Their father is on life support, he is not going to make it. We are just waiting for my daughter to arrive tomorrow so she can say good bye to her father.

We have been divorced for 25 years, so the anger and angst is long behind us. I feel such a huge sense of loss for our children. They are too young yet to lose their father ... 40 & 43. Their children will barely remember their "Papa".

I am sad, even though we moved on built new lives apart, I have still had love for the man who gave me 2 wonderful children and 5 beautiful grandchildren.

Thank you.

Prayers for all of you, Lynn. This is such a sad situation. Loss of a parent is hard at any age.

My heart hurts for your children, Lynn. My "kids" lost their father 5 years ago...the younger grandchildren will not have memories of Grandpa - but he loved them all the same.

It was interesting - I actually had a moment of sadness when Tom died - we had been married 11 years and had 3 children together but had been divorced since 1976...he had remarried in 1976 as well. I remarried in 1978 to the great love of my life and now he is gone - losing my darling husband Jim has been the hardest time of my life.

We all know death is a part of life - but it is still so very difficult to move on.

Prayers for all who love and will miss your former husband.

I'm so sorry Lynn, and know this is a hard time for your family. As a mother, our hurt is double
since our heart aches for our children who are grieving. I pray the good Lord draws each of
you close to Him and to one another.

Love is one thing we can't run out of....God gave us an endless supply. We can love someone and
still have love for another. And even though a marriage fails, and we move on and marry again, that
doesn't erase or take away from the love we had for our first husband. I pray for strength for you
too, dear one.
