I'm not a quilter ... but I fell in love with these designs and purchased the set when they were on sale half price.

I want to make a throw or small quilt as a Christmas gift. I would welcome quilt pattern suggestions.

Note: the finished size of the designs stitched out are about 4.9".

I love the alphabet. For a small quilt, you could spell out Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. With each word on a different line. And fill in with the one large square from the set. I have embroidered alphabet squares for a charity quilt for St Judes. But I haven't put it together yet because with 26 letters it doesn't come out even. I haven't decided what to put in the empty spots.
Or you could do throw pillows with initials. I'm sure other people with have some great ideas. Of course you could do all the letters and fill in with the one large square from the set. Beautiful done on dark material with gold or silver metallic thread.

pretty set of designs...

you could do the last letter of the name....or the whole name for that matter

Noel.....Joy....Peace.....each in a different color??

HO HO HO could be cute too....on a red and white quilt theme...small squares surrounding the larger letter squares

Santa with a Santa design on each side of the letters

Hope...….and use non traditional it could be used for many cool nights...not just Christmas time

I was thinking about buying that alphabe too, but I couldn't figure out how I'd could use it. It's a little large, but I think it could be resized to be on coasters, placemats, anywhere you need an initial. I could see it on 5 different pillows to spell out "peace" so that they could make a word too.

I like Gone Sewing’s idea with the holiday words used in a table runner or a vertical wall or door hanging. It is a beautiful set and I can picture the letters stitched in gold thread. They will make treasured gifts.
