Are you OK if this forum folds? So very few bother to post any more... just a few of us trying to keep the forum going...

Shirley - while I'm sure Facebook and other social media has impacted the forums here, I also believe all of the spam has had a very negative effect as well. Perhaps if the ability to manage that better, and more robust technology would bring some members back.

I take down at least 5 articles of spam every morning.... not sure what else you can do since I do not have the power to block the people like CAI CAI etc who are posting multiple posts all spam at a time

I do check Face Book but this forum seems like "home" and enjoy coming here. Think I've been a member since shortly after I got my Bernina 180 in 1999. Hope it stays. With grandchildren all grown, don't do the sewing I used to, but like seeing everyone else's special projects..

Roake, Go down on this forum and read under Internet embroidery club about the 2019 IEC. The automatic renewal may not work for 2019 with
the changes that Kathy and Phyllis may implement. Time will tell I guess. I do know I need to get busy and down load all the past years
designs so I have them and don't lose them.

I would be crushed if this forum wasn't here. I don't do facebook but I check this every day several times. I don't post often but would really miss this. Please keep it going.
Happy new year to all

Shirley ... that's what I mean ... moderators need to be able to keep the spammers out, not just have to delete their posts. And ... the ability to become a member needs to be controlled more. You, and other moderators need to be given better tools.

Shirley, maybe as a moderator you can contact Kathy and Phyllis, and ask about making this Forum more exclusive. I love all of you here and I would be really "lost" without you!!!

This Forum is more than an ME group. We are helping with what ever someone needs help with. On other forums, one would be critized if they posted and OT post. We just help where help is needed. I'd be lost without the help of everyone here!

Love this forum and would hate to see it go. Don’t post very often but check in every morning with my coffee. There’s always something to learn and everybody is so helpful. I agree with Lynn, the spammers are getting ridiculous. Maybe Kathy and Phyllis will give you more control

I'd really be sad to see this go too. I have learned so much here. Maybe with the changes coming to the brand and website the forum will become energized again too. Quilting as a hobby got revitalized with all of the young designers that have come in. All of the amazing fabrics and patterns have really made it a vibrant hobby again. Sewing in general is big business with all of the fancy machines/notions that are in the market. Heirloom sewing took a hit when young mothers quit dressing up their kids. Special occasion outfits are just not needed. Everything goes in cycles, so maybe heirloom sewing will get reinvented too. Can't count out the millennials yet.

I, too, am guilty of "lurking" and not posting often, BUT I LOVE this place & have been a member since Martha invented it!! I'm sure Kathy & Phyllis can fix the issues. I'm staying positive as a 2019 New Year resolution!

While I don't visit regularly - I, too, would not want to lose this forum. Hopefully Phyllis and Kathy will improve things.
I actually don't even do much ME any more. I still love it, but must do it on my kitchen table. I didn't even make 1 Christmas gift this year. Not sure homemade gifts are appreciated by the younger gals. I have 34-35 to buy for and I can't spend alot of money.
Also, don't have the energy I used to have. Stuck in a rut I guess you could say.
