I’m trying to make some boxes. I have PDF files that came with some Papertrey sets, that are designed to print and then assemble. Quite simple, just cut lines on the perimeter and then score lines inside. But I want to make them on my Maker. As you can imagine, I’m rather low on patience right now...can’t figure out a simple way to upload the PDF’s to Cricut’s Design Space software and have it cut them. I also have the Silhouette Cameo, figured it out in that software, but that machine does a perforated line instead of a true score line, so not as nice. I also have the Brother Scan n Cut...don’t know about a score line with that one and never really learned that software. I’ve been searching for a simple video but all of them are either geared toward something else or they require additional software...if I don’t have the patience for one new program, I sure don’t have enough for two! I’d even just think about printing the PDF’s on cardstock and doing it all manually, but my printers balk at cardstock! Seems one way or another I am doomed. I’d be happy to pay if someone offers a service doing this kind of thing. I’m sure it’s not a big deal if you know how...which I don’t! Any ideas? I will show you the little book cover that needs a box base only...there is a Die for the small book cover which I’ve made, but they didn’t include a Die for the base. And there is a PDF for a larger book cover and base, as well as another cute box. TIA

Here is the photo. Pardon the mess! BTW this is just a little larger than an Altoids tin. The larger one is about the size of a half sheet of paper. I'll try to find a photo of the other box.

Here is a picture of the other cute box. I think it comes in three sizes...this isn't my picture, it's from their website and is the work of the designer of the kit, the very talented Betsy Veldman. The two photos show it open and closed...you can see the cute scooped out part. I hope no one sees this kit and falls in love with it...it's OOS and I hunted mine down online and bought it second hand.

I really wish I could help you, Lillian, but I have no idea about the process. I googled Betsy Veldman's name and her site came up with a block saying "Email Me." Perhaps she would be willing to share her expertise with you. I really don't know if that's an option.

I am very much out of my league, here because I never have used or owned a cutting machine! However, I have been curious about them and have done some online exploring especially since a relative bought the maker for his wife for Christmas and she has really done some beautiful things with it already!

I just found this post on a site I had bookmarked. It might give you some ideas on how to proceed.

Does this You tube video address what you are trying to do? I have a zing cutter and SCAL (sure cuts a lot) software, so I may not be understanding your question. I agree that I have too many things to learn and retain so not looking for anything new either.
