This morning I put some super jumbo rick rack
on the edge of dishtowels...

here is my question...how the heck are you supposed to finish the edge?? the sides are tiny

I just cut it to size..and fray checked ...but there must be a better way???

folding it over looked awful...

Ha ha, I was going to say "fold it over." It seems like fray check should work but a tiny satin stitch type zig zag might be another solution.

I fold the raw edge under too. And I like to use French knots on the peaks so I don’t have to press the rickrack after washing. I think I’ve also just used tiny stitches on the peaks, and I’ve whipstitched it in with embroidery floss too.

umm....will have to try the hand stitching...

I just machine sewed the rick rack and then folded the back and sewed again.. that looked just fine...but...I was not happy with the tiny edge on
the dish towels ends (sides)

makes no sense describing it....LOL.....

I usually use a glue stick and fold a bit of rick rack to match exactly—then stitch. But, I’ve also added binding-like a quilt- to cover the edges.

I'm going to use your method of tacking the points, Mizlilly. The project always looks so nice until it's washed, then those peaks just curl over. Thanks!
