Well after about 17 yrs, all 3 of my hoops have cracked. Oddly, within a few wks of each other. Can't wait for them as Christmas gifts. The dealer said she could order them. Is there another source?

One of my 4 x 4 Janome hoops cracked a couple of years ago - I used nail glue and glued it back together and have been using it ever since.

Husband used gorilla glue but it didn't hold on any of them.

Nail glue is instant works like a charm - now likely you will have to buff off the gorilla glue

I agree with you Shirley, nail polish is a great glue. Edd and I worked in New Guinea for a while and when we returned to Australia we brought several wood carvings home with us, one of which was a crocodile. One of Edd's friends knocked it off the table and broke the tail off and I glued it with nail polish, it is stiil good today and this happened in 1970

Are we talking about nail polish or nail glue (the one to stick on fake fingernails?) I think you may have solved my problem of how to glue parts back on some resin figures I've never been able to successfully glue.

Nail glue to repair nails and to use to stick on nails.  Sets instantly use very little and dont get it on your fingers or your fingers will stick to the hoop - instantly.

This has been interesting, and confusing. I also wondered about "nail glue", since dh has a large tube of glue called Liquid Nails to use with wood projects.

I've used industrial strength super glue and it worked for a good while but eventually re-cracked in the same spot - after several years, tho!

I worked with a broken hoop for two years. Wrapped it in cheap masking tape. Not only held my hoop together tightly, but helped grip my hooped items!!

Vada, I purchased some nail glue at one of those cheap pharmacy's that are popping up everywhere, just under $6 named glamnails. I also saw the same item in Target for about $8.00, However, the label says nail glue enriched with vitamins A & E, so hope that wont affect whatever I happen to use it on. I just got some to have on Shirleys recommendation

Darlene dont open it under you need it and keep it upright - that stuff might be dried out before you ever open it  really burns my butt when that happens.

I normally just buy Sally Hansen nail glue or similar.  Not sure if you have that brand over there.
